Samantha Schulze, Psy.D.Personal Statement
My approach to therapy is systemic in nature.  I try to look at the individual in connection with his or her family system to gain a better understanding of that person.  I believe in creating a strong therapeutic alliance which fosters a safe environment for the client.  This helps the client feel comfortable and more open to engaging in the therapeutic process.  I try to achieve this through emotional support and feedback using a variety of techniques.  These techniques range from play to mindfulness and I hope to build the client’s skill set and coping strategies.  The goal is to help the client be able to return to a state of feeling calm and in control of their emotions.  I am dedicated to helping others reach their potential.

Samantha Schulze, Psy. D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Illinois. She received her degree at The Illinois School of Professional Psychology where she minored in Family Systems.
